History of Grama Panchayat
Kongad Grama Panchayat is a Grama panchayat located in the Palakkad block of Palakkad district. In 1962, Kongad, Cheraya, and Peringode panchayats were merged to form the present-day Kongad Panchayat. The boundaries of the panchayat are bordered by Karimba to the north, Mundur to the east, Parali and Kerala Sherry to the south, and Kadambazhipuram to the west. Kongad Panchayat covers an area of 35.55 square kilometers, of which 5% is forested land.
